Hi! My name is Anh Do
I’m a doctoral student in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies.
My family and I came from Vietnam. We (my parents, myself and 2 younger sisters) have been living in Lincoln for over 12 years. It is our second home.
I spent the first half of my childhood in a rural farming village in Vietnam. Just to give you a general scope of village life, we did not have electricity until the early 1990s. Before that, we were still using oil lamps. Now people are talking on fancy cellphones while working in the rice fields. Quite a transformation!
Something interesting about me, I have a papillon who is an absolute princess. I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with the culinary and artistic aspects of different recipes in my spare time.
On this trip, I hope to expand my awareness of the world by experiencing India in person and visiting the families who live there.
